To help celebrate community banking month, we are hosting a Free Drive-Thru Shred Day for our customers and other local residents in Frederick County, MD, on Saturday, April 15. Protect your identity without leaving the car!
FREE DRIVE-UP SHRED DAY
April 15, 2023 • 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
ASPEN RIDGE OFFICE • 165A Thomas Johnson Drive, Frederick, MD
What is Shred Day?
ACNB Bank’s Shred Day is an opportunity for you to protect your identity by safely destroying old documents and items with your personal information on them. The Bank partners with All-Shred, a local shredding company, to make sure everything is destroyed properly.
What You Can Shred
You may bring up to five computer paper boxes (approximately 15 x 12 x 10 inches) of household confidential documents such as those that contain highly personal, financial and medical information. No advance registration is required. Please recognize the shred truck could fill to capacity prior to 12:00 noon, but this seldom occurs.
Pay It Forward
We know how much you care about our local community! This event is an opportunity for all of us to lend a helping hand to others by making a monetary donation or contributing items to benefit local residents served by Supporting Older Adults Through Resources (SOAR) – an ACNB Bank customer. Suggested items include:
- Grocery gift cards
- Crossword puzzle books with large print
- Deodorant for men and women
- Disposable underwear (such as Depends brand in Large or X-large)
- Candy (individually wrapped)
- Hand lotion, soap
- Toothbrushes, Toothpaste
Safety Guidelines and What to Expect
Prior to arrival, place all shred materials and any donations for SOAR in the trunk of your vehicle. Please do not arrive prior to 9:00 a.m. since we want to avoid a back-up of vehicles on Thomas Johnson Drive. You may remain in your vehicle for the duration of the event.
Upon arrival, we’ll greet you at the ACNB Bank tent and then you’ll drive up to the truck where staff members from ACNB Bank and All-Shred will help load your documents into big recycling bins. At this point, you are good to go and continue with your day. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, April 15!
