Open or Transfer Personal Accounts to FCB

Ready to bank with FCB? Welcome to the community banking movement! It’s easy to make the switch to Frederick County Bank, just come into any FCB location and let our team members take it from there. Here is a checklist of what to bring with you:

  • Your personal information including proof of identity as required by law to open a new deposit account, your full name, date of birth, and Social Security or Taxpayer Identification Number.
  • Your current bank account numbers or most recent bank statement
  • A list of all direct deposits associated with your current account including payroll deposits, Social Security, and any other income
  • A list of automatic debits or online bill payments such as utilities, mortgages, car payments, credit card payments, subscription services, Internet service providers, charitable organizations, etc.

Personal Loan Products from FCB

Depending on the loan product you’re interested in we may ask you to bring the following:

  • Prior year’s tax returns, other financial account statements
  • Pay stubs, income information, or job verification
  • List of debts including credit card, student loan, car loan, mortgage, child support payments
  • List of assets including bank statements, mutual fund statements, home and auto titles, and other investments or assets

Open a Retirement Account

There is a lot to consider when you’re planning your retirement, but having your accounts set up will help you start having peace-of-mind. We would love to speak with you about your options and the services available through Frederick County Bank.

Before you call or come to a bank center we recommend you consult your accountant or tax advisor. These professionals can advise you on your personal tax implications and benefits.

When you’re ready, please bring your personal identification information and proof of identity to an FCB bank center. If you’re planning to transfer or rollover an existing account, please bring a statement or your account information.

Personal Prepaid Reloadable Cards

There’s no need to bank at FCB to get a prepaid reloadable card (although we would love it if you did). When you’re ready to set up a card please visit any of our bank center locations. You’ll need to bring your identification and a small deposit. You’ll receive a card in the mail and once you reload the card several times you’ll receive a permanent card with your name on it.

Open or Transfer Business Accounts to FCB

We love Frederick businesses and are ready to help you gain access to the financial products and services you need to operate and grow. When you’re ready, visit any FCB location and let our team members take it from there. Depending on your business type you may be required to bring additional documents. Here is a general checklist of what you might need:

  • Name of business
  • Address of principal place of business
  • Telephone
  • Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)*
  • Everyone involved in the business account will need to provide proof of identity as required by law to open a new deposit account and personal details such as full name, date of birth, and Social Security or Taxpayer Identification Number. This includes account operators, responsible individuals, and company officials.
  • Business Licenses & Articles of Incorporation. Whether your business is a sole proprietorship, LLC, or other business entity, we’ll need to see these documents
  • Corporate resolution
  • Certificate of Good Standing, Board Minutes, or resolution identifying officers/signers
  • Credit report or Dun and Bradstreet business rating
  • Trust agreement
  • If you are a DBA or doing business as a fictitious name, please bring a copy of your registration.
  • Your current bank account numbers or most recent bank statement
  • A list of all direct deposits associated with your current account including payroll deposits, Social Security, and any other income
  • A list of automatic debits or online bill payments such as utilities, mortgages, car payments, credit card payments, subscription services, Internet service providers, charitable organizations, etc.

*If you have applied for but not yet received a Taxpayer Identification Number, FCB will request a copy of your TIN application or SS-4 form to confirm filing. If your TIN is not received and placed in the system within 60 days of account opening, the account will be closed.
**Complete ID information is not required by law for regulated financial institutions, government agencies, municipalities or publicly traded companies with domestic operations.

Request the Business Courier Service

The Business Courier Service is a great tool to help your business save time and money. If you’re ready to request that your business is added to the Business Courier route please call the contact center at 301-620-1400. The contact center will also be your point of contact to update or adjust your schedule.

Prepaid Payroll Cards

Prepaid payroll cards are a great way to help your employees while streamlining your process. To enroll in this program contact an FCB bank center.

Once you’re set up as an employer in our system you’ll be able to access the Card Order Portal to create cards for your employees. For each employee, you will need their full name and tax identification number. Cards ordered typically take between 4-7 business days to be received in the mail.
