We consider it a privilege to serve the individuals, families and business owners of the greater Frederick area. And we consider it our honored duty to give back to the communities we call home. Frederick County Bank actively seeks out opportunities to participate in a variety of ways, and we encourage personal participation from our employees.
We strive to identify volunteer opportunities with local non-profit organizations and we encourage bank employees to participate. Engaging with the community boosts morale, gives our employees a chance to practice leadership skills, provides personal satisfaction and benefits our neighbors.
FCB makes numerous financial contributions through our monthly Charity Day Program that supports a variety of non-profits, associations and groups with important causes. FCB employees also have the opportunity to contribute financially towards selected charitable organizations.
FCB generally hosts three free document shredding and recycling days per year to help residents protect against theft and fraud.
Our next FREE Shred Day will April 8, 2017 | FCB Crestwood (6910 Crestwood Boulevard) | 9am to Noon!
Bring up to 3 boxes of paper to shred. To protect against identity theft, it's best to destroy all documents containing sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers, date of birth, addresses or bank account numbers. Other items to shred include:
Lend a Hand while you Shred!
We'll also be collecting hygiene items to benefit The Religious Coalition. They are most in need of body lotion, deoderant, and body wash. Donations are not required to shred documents.

The Fine Print: The bank is partnering with All-Shred Inc. to help consumers protect themselves against identity theft and fraud. Participants may bring up to three standard-sized boxes of paper items, which will be shredded securely on-site and later recycled. Residents are advised to destroy all documents that contain sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers, date of birth, addresses or bank account numbers. Items that should be shredded include credit and charge card bills, summaries and receipts; ATM receipts and bank statements; canceled and voided checks; employment pay stubs; and expired credit and identification cards including driver’s licenses, military IDs, employee badges and medical insurance cards. Materials that will not be accepted include batteries, flammables, combustibles, electronic equipment (hard drives) or media materials (DVDs, CDs and tapes).
FCB employees from each FCB bank center make both monetary and goods donations to benefit numerous charitable groups, food banks, animal welfare organizations, and the arts. They also participate in community-wide food, household goods and back-to-school supply drives.
These are just some of the many worthwhile organizations FCB has supported:
